This Spring 2010 collection very different from the edgy, entirely costume-like, garments I am used to seeing from Jean Paul Gaultier. However, this collection undoubtfully ties into his consistent genre of fashion design. In my eyes, this collection was inspired by clothing from the Spanish culture. That's apparent in the sombreros a-top the model's heads, the cropped blazers, and the colorful array. Further down the collection, Jean Paul Gaultier digresses from the Spanish theme to an evident burst of inspiration from nature.
I love how each outfit is filled with so much detail. It's an adventure looking through each individual ensemble because you can always uncover something new.
