I just can't stop being myseLF

hello there lovely readers, welcome back!

I feel there is no better way to begin my new series of posts than with a post featuring photos and info about my favorite store: LF

I started shopping at this store about a year and a half ago and every time i wore anything from LF everyone would always ask where i purchased that item, following by the eager words of "I've got to go there tomorrow and get the same thing." So, it is no surprise that LF went from a boutique only known by a few to the new "It Store." I call it the new "It Store" because everything they sell is fashionably beautiful...they've nailed it on the dot. It is all aesthetically pleasing, detailed oriented and the cuts couldn't be more precise (in terms of making the garment look as best as possible). This store is everything I was looking for in a store.

My multi-year long search has finally come to any end.

Starting with my favorite trends of this season:

wax jegging, crosses, python print

Lets begin with wax leggings. What is not to love about leggings that are comfortable and make a statement. You can pair them with pretty much anything and below are my favorite outfits that the stylists at LF have created.

Next up we have Crosses. The reason that crosses have caught my attention is because I love the simplicity mixed with the badass-ness. It is a huge reflection of my own personal style. The photos below perfectly exemplify my commentary.

Last but certainly not least is python print. I am so glad python print finally caught on because I have always been a fan of animal print. Regardless if it is "in" (pffft screw whatever is in, "you either have personal style or you dont" is my motto). But in this case, I am glad python is "in" because now I have many options of garments to choose from.

Now that i have shown you all of my favorite trends I am beyond excited to share with you the gorgeous shoes from the fall collections.

Out of all the outfits i have seen the stylists of LF come up with thus far, the style below is my absolute favorite.

Although it is a bit light for winter, i can not help but fall in love with the color contrasts, cuts, and the wide range of fabrics this outfit has to offer. The crochet cardigan acts as a perfect balance with the cuts of the dress by not over powering them. The dress is a golden item because it is a comfortable body-con dress that still offers a ton of pizzaz. That means it could be worn during both day and night and that is one of my favorite features a dress can have. The shoes couldn't be a more perfect fit for the outfit. The edgy-ness of the black platform mixed with the light blue leather is a gorgeous color combination. A the studs covering the shoe are just what the doctor ordered. If the doctor was the Anna Wintour or Grace Coddington ;).

The warrior fashion trend: how to wear it

This isn't the sort of trend where rules should be laid down; it's open to interpretation and rich with possibility. It's not intended to be taken too literally either, and works best when an outfit gives the impression of some underlying fierceness rather than the overt look of a costume. So again no strict rules, but some pointers:

Be creative, be confident; wear it with conviction.
Mix some of the elements listed above in with more glamorous pieces. Sequins as a perfect example can give a look that's modern mixed with metal.
Mix ultra-feminine with tough warrioress. For example soft, flowing fabric against sharp metal plating or studded straps.
Invest in accessories that will give any outfit a warrior edge; like studded leather belts, new and edgier takes on the gladiator sandal, jewellery based on ancient cultures.

Fashion trends complimentary to 'warrior clothes'

With anything warrior inspired be sure to not overlook leather. It can add a hard edge or historical authenticity
Look to the tribal fashion trend for inspiration. But remember that in 2010, the warrior trend is more Dark Ages than bright kaftan. Thus look to the detailing, particularly in tribal accessories and jewellery.
If you're wearing warrior inspired clothing during the colder Autumn (Fall) / Winter months consider pairing your pieces with ripped tights for an edgy look.
If you're wearing a tribal piece that is just a top and not a full dress or outfit, consider pairing it with short shorts or boy shorts. Particularly good here would be to wear them with khaki coloured shorts in the vein of 'Westerner gone native'."

Trendy Trousers

a spring 2010 trend that I'm on board with:

Patterned Printed Pants

Draw attention (in a good way of course) to your self by rocking a pair of printed pants this Spring. To show off your long legs, choose a skinny cut. Or to be comfy, throw on a pair of loose bottoms like the pants by Roberto Cavalli. The greatness of these pants also lies in their versatility. You can wear them as funky street wear, or as chic nightwear. Be sure to avoid pants with 60's flares and steer clear of neon colors.

How to wear Patterned Printed Pants by Fashionising:

Don't be afraid to mix patterns. Clashing prints can give a sense of careless charm. Just don't overdo it or you'll risk looking clown-like.
Bold prints will draw attention to your lower-half, so if it's not the best part of your figure avoid skinny cuts and try for relaxed fits instead
If going for a loose fit pant, pair with either a fitted top; or a baggier top that's part tucked in, part untucked for a nonchalant look.
The right pair of relaxed pants is perfect for a 1940s loungewear look. Add soft waves, red lips, and chunky cocktail rings.
For a young, urban look try 80's inspired graphic prints like those at Topshop Unique. As an investment however, bear in mind that this style will be more short-lived.
If sophistication is more your goal, look for tailored, high-waisted styles like those seen at Matthew Williamson and Luella. Wear them with a sharp pair of heels.
